When correctly designed and installed, underfloor heating can operate efficiently at lower flow temperatures, reducing your heating bills and saving money.
It is easier to create zones, allowing different rooms to be heated to different temperatures at different times/days.
As you no longer require radiators, you save space, allowing for more room in your rooms for furniture.
No matter what flooring type your home has, we have an underfloor heating solution for you. The following are the types of underfloor heating we repair & install across St Albans, Harpenden, Welwyn Garden City, Luton and the surrounding areas of Hertfordshire.

Heated flooring is installed by first laying insulation boards, followed by securing the heating pipes or cables. Once in place, screed is poured over, embedding the system. When dry, the final flooring is laid, allowing even heat distribution across the room.
To install heated flooring on an existing hard floor, channels are milled into the surface for the heating pipes. Once the pipes are laid and secured, a levelling compound is applied. Finally, the chosen floor finish is installed for efficient, even heating.
Heated flooring can be installed over an existing hard floor using smaller bore pipes. The pipes are laid within low-profile panels, then covered with a levelling compound. Though space-saving, this method isn’t ideal for heat pumps due to reduced efficiency.

We recently had a completely new heating system installed by L.E Heating, and we couldn’t be happier with the service from start to finish. Lee and his team were fantastic throughout the whole job. Because of the flooring in our bungalow there were a few challenges along the way, but Lee kept us fully updated at every stage and clearly explained any issues that came up. He also talked us through the different options available so we could decide on the best way forward, which we really appreciated. Communication was excellent the entire time, and Lee and his team worked efficiently and professionally. The work was completed to a very high standard and everything was left clean and tidy once the job was finished. It’s clear Lee takes real pride in his work and in making sure customers feel informed and confident about what’s being done. We would highly recommend Lee and his team at L.E Heating to anyone looking for reliable, honest, and skilled heating engineers.Posted on Google![]()

I thought the underfloor heating was leaking. Lee from LE Heating came the next day. Examined, checked the boiler, manifold and outside. Ruled out a leak. Diagnosed air bricks being too low/patio too high so outside water dampness or ingress. Explained clearly the problem. Prompt, professional and helpful. Recommended.Posted on Google![]()

Finally we have found a heating engineer who looks beyond the obvious and spots what oters have not noticed - eg non-return valve upside down. Super efficient team and a pleasure to do business with Lee, Neil and Monika in the office.Posted on Google![]()

Boiler developed an issue overnight that I could no fix, so no heating or hot water. Called LE Heating first thing and Lee was around by 10am. Diagnosed fault and gave phone number for Vaillant warranty (they only speak to property owner) with description of fault. Outcome is Vaillant turning up today to replace pump. Without Lee's comprehensive understanding not only of Vaillant boilers, but also of Vaillant UK as a business, it is likely this would have taken at least a week to resolve. Excellent customer focus and knowing best way to get fixedPosted on Google![]()

I had a frustrating experience with this heating company. After my boiler displayed an L9 error code, they replaced the PCB, claiming a 1-year warranty. However, just three days later, the L9 code reappeared. The engineer suggested a faulty harness and asked me to pay for a new one. My heating engineer friend raised concerns about whether the new PCB was truly brand new or refurbished. When I contacted the company with this information, they insisted that only a manufacturer's certificate would confirm the PCB was faulty and refused to honor the warranty without one (even though I had taken a photo of the boiler as evidence and checked the manufacturer's manual, which stated that a faulty PCB was the ONLY reason to display the L9 code). Weeks later, they offered to replace the PCB again but wanted to take the original one to inspect it, warning I'd be charged if it wasn't faulty. This lack of transparency and unwillingness to honor the warranty left me feeling doubtful and frustrated.
